When the War of Austrian Succession started, the principality situated near the kingdom of Piemont-Sardaigne, was anxious regarding the Turin annexationism ambitions. The fate of the French garrison, which protected Monaco, was uncertain. Then, Prince Honoré III served in the army of Louis XV. This article describes the numerous repercussions of this war in the principality of Monaco. (full text in French)

Between 1902 and 1920, the principality of Monaco became an important spot of aeronautical experiences. They started with Alberto Santos-Dumont and Jacques Faure, who experimented balloons and dirigibles. Maurice Léger tested the first helicopter in the oceanographic Museum in 1905. Rougier and Fabre also experimented aeroplanes, in 1909 and 1911. From 1912, some competitions are organised in Monaco, momentarily stopped during the First World War. (full text in French)

The olive growing in the French Riviera enjoyed unprecedented prosperity from the 18th to the 19th century. The olive oil was the main resource of many famers and it forms, with bread and wine, the “Mediterranean crop triad”. The Condamine was an important olive grove. After three long years of research, this article traces this history, a priori inseparable from the mediterranean identity. (full text in French)
